I watched 2012 yesterday, and without a doubt, I would have to rank it as amongst the best--and possibly the best--disaster movie I've ever seen. It combines non-stop action (which stretches credibility to the extreme, but it's a fun ride), with focus on one particular family, and the prerequisite scientists, politicians, and elite calling the shots.

 I went to the dollar theater on Monday to watch a cartoon...and experienced an incredibly poignant and powerful story about unachieved dreams, greedy corporate Americans, abuse of the elderly, and finding oneself.

 District 9 combines four different genres into one: pseudo-documentary, scifi, suspense, and horror (gore). I have to admit, I didn't know what I was getting into when I walked into the movie theater. The previews before the movie started gave me my first hint: almost exclusively horror flicks--but I wasn't deterred.
